It is preferred that feedback eliminators are employed in FOH and monitor systems. If none, then Graphic EQ units must used so feedback areas can be dialed out.

Power Amps

In most cases this is a function of the monitor and main speaker arrangements as well as the size of the venue/show. Minimums are 150 watts for vocal monitors, 200 watts for drummer’s monitor, 600 watts for each FOH speaker.

Speakers/Drivers

In most cases this is a function of the venue size. In small to medium-sized venues (200 to 400 people) it is desirable to have at least two 15” speakers or an 18” and a 15” on each side of the stage. Preference is for midrange speakers to be in at least two of the cabinets. Compression driver horns on each side of stage – NO PIEZO HORNS if possible! For larger venues and outdoor functions arrangements must be discussed/outlined ahead of time between sound system provider and band representative(s).

Lighting Provisions

 

A professional lighting system (of quality) with a minimum of twenty four (24) par cans, at least six (6) colors
washes, a professional lighting control board with a
minimum of (12) twelve channels.
